Request for Proposals Project: Lovett Road Sign Replacement Project

Overview: Remove and replacement of all street signage and posts along the full length of Lovett Rd. in Central City, LA. 

Scope of Work: Provide all necessary materials, supplies and labor to replace all existing signs and posts along Lovett Rd. • Contractor is responsible for any required safety / traffic control measures.

City has first right of refusal for all signage, dispose of remaining signs and posts • Repair of any damages to the roadside, mailboxes, landscaping etc. will be the responsibility of the contractor.

Approximate Sign Count: 

Contractor is responsible for verifying actual sign count, sizes etc. 

Insurance: Contractor shall comply with all insurance requirements set forth by any applicable law and with those requirements set forth in the Bid. 

A. Commercial General Liability on insurance: General Aggregate  $1,000,000 Each Occurrence  $1,000,000 

B. Business Auto Policy for any auto, or owned, non-owned & Hired: Combined Single Limit $1,000,000 

C. Standard Workers Compensation – Full statutory liability with Employer’s liability coverage shall be provided, if required by Louisiana law. If contractor is exempt from mandatory Workers Compensation coverage, Contractor shall provide an affidavit attesting to the exemption.  The City of Central shall be listed as additional insured under general liability and a waiver of subrogation with respect to workers’ compensation is required.

Proposals are due by 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 2, 2025, electronically only, by uploading the completed Proposal Form found under "Attachments" at:  https://lamats.eauctionservices.com. 

There is no upfront cost to register or to submit a proposal electronically.  The awarded proposer will be charged a flat $300 administrative fee payable to LaMATS eAuction & Bid Services, 6767 Perkins Rd., Baton Rouge, LA 70808. Non-selected proposers are not charged a fee.
