  • Notice is hereby given that electronically submitted sealed bids will be received by the LACPC, 6767 Perkins Rd., Baton Rouge, LA 70808 up to the hour of 2:00 o’clock p.m. on February 15, 2023, for furnishing of the following, to wit:
HYDRATED LIME
QUICK LIME 
Electronic bids will be accepted only by the LACPC on the LaMATS e-Auction & Bid Services (EASiBUY) bid platform, https://lamats.eauctionservices.com. Bidders must register at this website address to access the full specifications and to place their bids electronically.
  • ELECTRONIC BIDS WILL BE UNSEALED AND the results posted starting at 2:00 pm at the LaMATS office, 6767 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, LA, and the results will be posted at https://lamats.eauctionservices.com thereafter.
  • THE CITY OF ABBEVILLE and the LACPC reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in bids received.

REQUIREMENT

Supply Bulk Hydrated Lime via pneumatic tanker truck for use in potable water treatment in the City of Abbeville and surrounding area.
Supply Quick Lime to City of Abbeville and other municipal users in the surrounding area.  

Technical Requirement:  Hydrated Lime must meet any applicable Underwriter Laboratories Inc. and Standard as a drinking water treatment additive N-60 certified.       

Abbeville Average Volume: 240 to 300 tons on annual basis

Timing: On an as needed basis   

Bid package should include the following:
  • MSDS/SDS sheets 
  • UL Certification 

COOPERATIVE USE CONTRACT

The resulting contract will be considered a cooperative use (joint use) contract and will be available for use by additional local government parties through the LACPC Commission, https://lamats.net/lacpc.  Terms and Conditions apply.

APPLICABLE SUPPLIER FEES

A 1% administrative fee payable to LaMATS (as administrator of the LACPC) applies to all sales made pursuant to the resulting contract. Sales are reportable quarterly by the supplier commencing March 31, 2023, and each Quarter thereafter, to the LACPC Contracts Administrator at LACPC@lamats.net. Total administrative 
fees on all sales to all users of the resulting contract shall not exceed $1500 per year.  

CONTRACT TERM 

The term of the resulting contract shall be February 15, 2023, through December 31, 2023. Upon the mutual consent of the LACPC and the Supplier, the resulting contract may be extended for one (1) additional year, until December 31, 2024.
