Denham Springs Portable Methane Detector– Summary 

Competitive proposals will be received by the City of Denham Springs located at:
116 North Range Avenue, Denham Springs, LA 70726 Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-5:30PM.
Proposal information is available for pickup upon request at the same location and time. Submit any questions regarding the bid via email to purchasing agent. You may access and download the proposal documents as well as submit proposals electronically by registering at https://lamats.eauctionservices.com and agreeing to comply with all electronic instructions. There is no fee to receive proposal packets, or post responses. Questions related to electronic access should be directed to Paul Holmes, LaMATS e-Auction Services, 225-678-6107.

Proposals received after the date and time below will NOT be accepted. Bid will be opened and read aloud at the location, date, and time noted below.

Bid responses can be submitted electronically through LaMATS e-Auction & Bid Services (EASiBUY) at https://lamats.eauctionservices.com . To submit bids electronically you must register by starting a response to the right to access the full specifications. Bids and responses are due by December 20, 2010, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. CST, and will be opened publicly immediately thereafter at the City of Denham Springs.

Desired Product/Service:

The City of Denham Springs, Louisiana, seeks to standardize to one brand/model of electronic, portable Methane laser detector capable of processing data and wirelessly communicating findings to assist in detecting leaks throughout our gas systems quickly, safely and efficiently. The City of Denham Springs seeks to enter into a supply contract with a provider to supply detectors and to provide onsite training and consultation. 

Electronic Administrative & Processing Fee/Joint Contract Use

  • There is no electronic administrative and processing fee associated with this bid.  The winning proposer may be asked to allow joint use of any contract created by other local political subdivision units in need of Methane Detection Equipment.  

Addenda & Interpretations

  • No interpretation of the meaning of the specifications or contract documents will be made orally to any Bidder. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing and emailed to be answered by contacting the Purchasing Agent located at 116 North Range Avenue, Denham Springs, LA 70726 or by emailing purchasing@cityofdenhamsprings.com . To be given consideration, such requests must be received sufficiently prior to the date fixed for the opening of Bids to permit distribution of response to all Bidders.
