City of Baker – Notice Summary
The City of Baker is seeking proposals for a turnkey purchase and installation of natural gas generators at multiple lift stations (7 total) related to FEMA Disaster 4277, flood mitigation projects. The project description can be accessed below. Proposals will be accepted online through LaMATS e-Auction & Bid Services at https://lamats.eauctionservices.com or delivered to the City of Baker, Louisiana as included in the Instruction Documents posted below.
The City of Baker encourages women-owned and minority owned businesses to submit proposals and/or indicate a desire to hire on as subcontractors with the prime contractor.
Proposals indicating interest and qualifications are due by April 5th, 2021, 2:00 P.M. CST.
ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS:
- Bidders must follow the requirements related to proposal submissions documented below. The requirement to submit multiple copies of a proposal are waived in the case of electronic submission of proposals.
- The City reserves the right to conduct negotiations with qualified contractors and to seek "best and final" offers/pricing.
ELECTRONIC PROCESSING AND ADMINISTRATIVE FEE
- A $40 fee will be accessed to registered proposers to access the RFP documents posted below. Advanced payment is not required. Registered proposers will be billed after successful access and download.
- Any proposer who submits their bid electronically which results in an award is responsible for payment of a 1% administrative fee ($10 per $1000 of contract price) not to exceed $1000. The electronic fee, if applicable, is payable to LaMATS e-Auction & Bid Services, 700 North Tenth Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 Attn: LaMATS Electronic Administrator upon payment by the City.
ADDENDA AND INTERPRETATIONS
- No interpretation of the meaning of the specifications or contract documents will be made orally to any Proposer. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing and emailed per the instructions in the solicitation.
- Technical questions regarding registration, submittal of bids and use of the electronic bid platform should be directed to Paul Holmes, Electronic Administrator, paul@lamats.net.
